This is only the second episode of our new "Hell Hath a Lot of Fury" storyline; the first episode is a great jumping-on point for new readers. The basic idea is that the forces of Hell are coming after Malev'lynn, a demon who moved to Earth and went native. You can see Malev'lynn, and the rest of our cast of characters, here in the classic Great Jumping-On Point for New Readers.
Most of the demons in today's episode are new characters. I did a whole bunch of sketches of possible demons and my wife helped me narrow it down. She's the reason Sally Serpentine and Hate Frog made the cut.
Try as I might, though, I can never resist recycling old characters. D.F. French created Michael of the Love People back in the 90's, and I made up Klaws when I was 8. Technically Klaws is a robot, not a demon, but . . . maybe he's a demonic robot? I included him because I like to draw robots.
Frederick Winslow Taylor (1856-1915) was the father of scientific management. He once said, "In the past the man has been first; in the future the system must be first." Since arriving in Hell he has made great strides in streamlining procedures and improving efficiency.
